Are your tunes detectable by the dealer/void my warranty?
The number 1 question we get, always a 2 part answer.
Anything you do aftermarket can/will potentially void your warranty.
That being said, we don't change the OEM ID of the vehicle so it will always report back as stock. We've tuned thousands of trucks and have a great relationship with dealerships across the state, never had a problem.
Will tuning increase my MPG's?
Our number 2 question we get, again a 2 part answer:
Any person, product, company or thing that guarantees better fuel milage in these trucks is lying to you.
That being said, do people generally see a boost in milage. Absolutely, but there is no way to guarantee it. Factors like driving habits, driving conditions, tire size, weight and fuel grades all come into play.
Do I have to run a specific octane fuel?
No. You don't lose the octane adjustability that comes from factory. You're welcome to run 87, 89 or 91.
Since the truck is optimized after tuning, running higher fuel grades will get you the best performance.
Super chargers will be the exception. You'll still need to run 91 octane.
Does my my Engine/Transmission software need to be updated (TSB Update)?
We will verify your trucks software and update it for free if need be.
Will my cruise control still work?
Adaptive (Radar) Cruise Control will perform with factory settings (untuned).
Regular (Constant Speed) Cruise Control not technically tuned but will pick up tuned characteristics.
Can my speedometer be calibrated with tuning?
No our tunes do not calibrate the speedometer however there are aftemarket options availble.
Can the tune be updated/adjusted if i make changes to the truck?
Absolutely!
Any adjustment within the original tune is always free. As you make changes to the truck (bigger tires, re gear, throw on some weight....) let's get the tune adjusted and the truck performing optimally.
